Assam Mangalam - Broken Orange Pekoe First Flush CTC 2026

SKU: M/C08/BOP/26

Crafted under the discerning supervision of Tea Master F. A. Bora, this distinguished manufacture from Towkok Tea Estate reflects precision, patience, and refined estate craftsmanship. The leaves, plucked on 20th March 2026 and manufactured the following day, underwent a carefully controlled 12 to 14-hour withering process, achieving an ideal wither percentage of 68% to 69%—a foundation that allows the leaf to develop depth, structure, and grace.

An oxidation period of 1 hour 40 minutes lends the tea its poised character, bringing balance between brightness, body, and aromatic maturity. The drying, completed over 26 minutes through VFBD, preserves the integrity of the leaf while sealing in its essential flavour profile. A single, precise sorting through the Hobro System further ensures neatness, uniformity, and a polished final appearance.

In cup, the tea presents a very satisfactory standard across leaf, liquor, and infusion. The dry leaf suggests careful handling and disciplined manufacture, while the liquor reveals a well-rounded personality—clean, steady, and pleasingly composed. The infusion stands as a testament to good oxidation and firing, offering an impression of freshness, warmth, and dependable estate quality.

Packed on 24th March 2026, this tea carries the quiet confidence of a well-made seasonal invoice: elegant in leaf, satisfying in liquor, and graceful in infusion—an admirable expression of Towkok Tea Estate’s manufacturing finesse.
