ABOUT THE GARDEN
SKU: T-SP-Ex20-2026
This exquisite spring white tea has been crafted from selectively plucked buds and tender leaves of Clone P312, harvested at the cusp of the first flush when the bushes yield their most delicate and aromatic growth.
The plucking standard focuses on downy unopened buds with minimal leaf inclusion, ensuring finesse and purity. The manufacture follows a minimal intervention process—natural withering under controlled ambient conditions with no rolling or oxidation, allowing the leaf to retain its innate character.
The defining identity of this tea—“Petrichor”—emerges from the interaction of spring moisture, terroir, and the biochemical expression of the clone, capturing the scent of earth after the first rains
A delicate spring white tea from Turzum, crafted from fine P312 buds and young leaves, capturing the essence of petrichor—fresh rain on earth. The cup is light and silky, with subtle notes of wet earth, white florals, and green melon, finishing clean, soft, and gently sweet.

Fine hand-plucking of select buds and very tender leaves (primarily bud with minimal leaf), ensuring maximum delicacy, high aromatic concentration, and preservation of the clone’s intrinsic character
Nestled in the scenic Rungbong Valley of Darjeeling, Turzum Tea Estate is a historic garden dating back to the 1860s, originally established by British planters.
Today, it forms part of the combined Sungma–Turzum Tea Estate, created after a devastating 1934 earthquake destroyed the Sungma factory, leading to the consolidation of both gardens into a single production unit.
Situated at elevations ranging roughly from 1100 to 1700 meters, the estate benefits from a cool, misty Himalayan climate, rich rainfall, and fertile soil—conditions ideal for producing high-quality Darjeeling teas with distinctive aroma and flavor.
Managed by the Jayshree Tea & Industries group, Turzum is known for its premium organic black, green, oolong, and specialty clonal teas, consistently appreciated by tea connoisseurs worldwide.
The garden combines heritage, altitude, and terroir, resulting in teas that are bright, aromatic, and characteristically elegant—true to the finest traditions of Darjeeling.

You’ll notice a mix of pale green and soft olive tones, indicating very light processing. There’s a natural elegance to it—nothing overworked. When you bring it closer, the aroma already hints at fresh earth, soft florals, and a gentle green sweetness, setting the tone for what’s to come.
Liquor-Once brewed, the liquor is very pale—champagne-like with a soft golden glow. It looks light and delicate in the cup
Infusion-The infused leaves open up beautifully—whole, soft, and supple, showing shades of fresh green with silvery buds still intact. This is a clear sign of careful plucking and minimal handling.
