Turzum Tea Estate lies in the Rungbong Valley, bordered by the famed Sungma garden. Known for its high elevation, misty climate, and clonal varietals, Turzum produces some of the finest spring teas in Darjeeling. The estate’s meticulous plucking standards and artisanal processing methods result in teas that are both nuanced and elegant. Turzum Autumnal is one such limited batch, evoking the ethereal freshness of the Himalayan autumn.
Any Time
Use filtered or bottled water. Heat the water up to 95°C. Put in 2.5 g of loose tea for every cup (180 ml). Let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain into a cup and serve.
Leaf: Well-made, evenly rolled leaves with brownish tones and occasional tips
Liquor: Bright coppery cup with good clarity
Infusion: Warm amber hue
Aroma: Soft muscatel with hints of ripe fruit and light floral notes
Taste: Smooth and rounded with gentle sweetness, classic muscatel character, subtle woody undertones, and a lingering, refined finish
