ABOUT THE GARDEN
SKU: T/FTGFOP1 Cln/DJ09/26
A refined expression of Turzum’s spring craftsmanship, this DJ-09 FTGFOP1 Clonal is made from the distinguished T78 cultivar, plucked on 7th April 2026 and manufactured the following day under the careful stewardship of Master Planter Mr. Abhishek Dev. Produced with a measured 60% wither over 14 hours, a brief and delicate fermentation window of 10 minutes including rolling, and a controlled drying run at 240°F for 22 minutes, this tea has been shaped to preserve its natural floral grace, freshness, and clonal finesse.
The dry leaf is a visual delight — nicely rolled, evenly sized, greenish in appearance, and ornamented with elegant silvery tips, reflecting both careful handling and precise hand sorting. In the cup, it opens into a light lemonish liquor, bright and luminous, carrying a poised floral character that is gentle yet unmistakably expressive. The infusion is greenish, bright, and even, releasing a fresh floral nose that lingers with quiet sophistication.
Graceful, delicate, and finely balanced, this Turzum clonal tea captures the charm of an early-season Darjeeling cup — floral, clean, radiant, and refined, with a soft lemon-toned brightness and a naturally elegant finish.
An exquisite first flush clonal tea from Turzum, crafted from the T78 cultivar under the expertise of Master Planter Mr. Abhishek Dev. Its neatly rolled greenish leaves, enriched with silvery tips, yield a bright light-lemon liquor with a refined floral aroma. Elegant, delicate, and gracefully balanced, this tea offers a fresh, luminous cup with a lingering floral finish.

Carefully hand-plucked on 7th April 2026, selecting fine clonal shoots to preserve freshness, floral character, and cup delicacy.
Today, it forms part of the combined Sungma–Turzum Tea Estate, created after a devastating 1934 earthquake destroyed the Sungma factory, leading to the consolidation of both gardens into a single production unit.
Situated at elevations ranging roughly from 1100 to 1700 meters, the estate benefits from a cool, misty Himalayan climate, rich rainfall, and fertile soil—conditions ideal for producing high-quality Darjeeling teas with distinctive aroma and flavor.
Managed by the Jayshree Tea & Industries group, Turzum is known for its premium organic black, green, oolong, and specialty clonal teas, consistently appreciated by tea connoisseurs worldwide.
The garden combines heritage, altitude, and terroir, resulting in teas that are bright, aromatic, and characteristically elegant—true to the finest traditions of Darjeeling.
