Turzum Tea Estate, located in the misty reaches of the Mirik Valley in Darjeeling, is celebrated for its pristine environment, balanced rainfall, and cool temperatures that nurture exceptional high-elevation teas. Together with its sister garden Sungma, Turzum is known for producing some of the region’s most delicate and aromatic Spring and Summer teas. The estate sits at elevations ranging from 1,100 to 1,700 metres, where the unique microclimate enhances the development of fine flavour compounds in the leaves. Modern craftsmanship blends seamlessly with traditional expertise here, ensuring consistent quality through careful field management and sustainable cultivation practices. Turzum’s teas are admired for their refined floral character, bright lively cups, and soft, lingering finish—reflecting the purity and elegance of this iconic Darjeeling estate.
Any Time
Use filtered or bottled water. Heat the water up to 95°C. Put in 2.5 g of loose tea for every cup (180 ml). Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain into a cup and serve.
Leaf Appearance The dry leaf is composed of whole, blackish leaves that are finely twisted, complemented by ombre tips providing a subtle contrast.
Infusion The wet, unfurled leaves exhibit a bright spectrum, showing a brownish to an olive-green hue. They release a lovely sweet and floral aroma .The wet leaves indicates a careful and high-quality plucking standard.
Liquor & Taste The brewed tea pours into a clear, amber-colored cup. The signature taste of the BB157 cultivar is vividly present andhas a good depth. A distinct boldness characteristic of the autumn harvest is clearly felt throughout thelayers with prolonged and satisfying mouthfeel.
