Produced from a blend of BB-157 clonal and select Assam bushes, this early season tea reflects careful small-batch manufacture under the supervision of Tea Master Abhishek Dev. The leaves undergo 14 hours of withering (61%), followed by a brief 8-minute oxidation, gentle firing at 240°F, and meticulous hand sorting to retain the character of the leaf.
The tea presents a neatly twisted leaf with a refined seasonal freshness, leading to a bright and lively cup. The liquor offers a smooth, mellow body with a light, fresh character typical of early flush teas, finishing clean and refreshing on the palate.
Sungma EX04 is crafted from BB-157 clonal and select Assam bushes, carefully hand-sorted to preserve leaf integrity. The cup is bright and lively with a smooth, mellow body, offering a fresh early-season character and a clean, refreshing finish.

Nestled in Darjeeling's Rungbong valley, the picturesque Sungma Tea Estate, established between 1863 and 1868, thrives in a cool, misty climate ideal for producing high-quality tea. Originally planted with Chinary seed stock, it merged with Turzum post-1934 earthquake. Under Jayshree Tea's stewardship since 1993, continuous investment has enhanced its tea's quality, making it a premium producer accessible by a robust road network.
Early Morning (6:30 AM – 9:00 AM) – Ideal Time
Mid-Morning (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM) – Great Option
Use filtered or bottled water. Heat the water up to 95°C. Put in 2.5 g of loose tea for every cup (180 ml). Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain into a cup and serve.
